Podcast: Plastic Byzantium
Kevin is one of my dearest friends. Having shared a spiritual path for many years, I find that as our paths in someways seem now to have diverged, my own self exploration and view of what it means to walk a spiritual path is expanded as much as it is challenged by our sharing together. Between us, we have been devoutly Jewish, Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, and Atheist (at least) at various times in our lives. The guidance from the texts, masters, and revelations of these traditions are ever-present in our efforts to lead lives that are fulfilling to ourselves and those around us. While a question often looms in the background of whether his Christian and my own Buddhist observance today are at odds or not, the exploration of our own paths from within and without these perspectives is always of profound utility to me. My conversations with Kevin and the gifts he shares with me in reverence and irreverence, patience and accountability, friendship and love are a steady source of support and inspiration.
